The Conspiracy of the Batavians under Claudius Civilis (1661-62). (Rembrandt van Rijn at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Sweden) is painted on a canvas with a herringone twill pattern.
The original painting 550 by 550 cm was cut down to 196 cm by 309 cm, less than a year after its completion, probably by Rembrandt himself.
