two Rembrandt paintings on a Herringbone canvas...but not the same textile...

VAN SCHENDEL, A. “De Schimmen Van De Staalmeesters: Een Röntgenologisch Onderzoek.” Oud Holland, vol. 71, no. 1, 1956, pp. 1–23. JSTOR, www.jstor.org/stable/42711851.

In this above publication I found that Rembrandt painted 'The Syndics' and 'The Conspiracy of the Batavians under Claudius Civilis' on a herringbone canvas, but that each canvas has a different repeat in the pattern; 16 and 24 threads.

Benjamin Binstock (1)writes that both paintings are from the same canvas.
Much to be discovered, hopefully on more recent x-ray images!
