Dr. John Ennis, curator and producer of 'OUR LINEN STORIES' will be present on Friday and Saturday at FACECO to celebrate the connection between Scotland and Portugal.
He will bring a surfboard to the fair from Ericierra Portugal, shaped by the famous Gary Mc Neill/Magicquiver and produced in linen and bio-resin.

'O Linho como Património Cultural' será apresentado no âmbito do Ano Europeu do Património Cultural 2018, que também é tema do pavilhão do Artesanato na FACECO.
No Lab O, convido lhe acompanhar me na história da investigação e reconstrução de telas em linho usados pelos Grandes Mestres no século XVI e XVII. A apresentação será sobre uma tela em linho, reconstrução da tela sobre o El Greco pintou 'El enterro del Conde de Orgaz'
'Our Linen Stories' traz uma parte da exposição, a correr na Escocia, nomeadamente um tecido em linho estampada; Felicity Bristow for Journeys in Design e uma prancha de surf em linho e bio resina do Gary MCNeill Concepts

'Linen as a Cultural Heritage' will be presented as part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018, which is also the theme of the Craft Pavilion at FACECO.
In Lab O, I invite you to join me in the history of research and reconstruction of linen canvases used by the Great Masters in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The presentation will be on a linen canvas, a reconstruction of the canvas on which El Greco painted 'The burial of the Count of Orgaz'
'Our Linen Stories' brings a part of the exhibition touring in Scotland, namely a linen fabric by Felicity Bristow for Journeys in Design and a surfboard in linen and bio resin from Gary MCNeill Concepts/ Magicquiver
